Repairs and Servicing
If something's not working right, don't worry. We'll figure it out. Here are the types of repairs we regularly perform to make sure boiler systems are working to their full efficiency and safety.

The thermostat controls the temperature of the heating system. If it's not functioning properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
By the way, all customers who buy or rent a furnace through Sterling receive a free smart thermostat.
The heating element provides heat to the system. If it's damaged or not working properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
The pump circulates hot water throughout the system. If it's not functioning properly, it may be time for a servicing or a new pump.
Valves regulate the flow of water and gas in the system, and each radiator in the home uses a separate valve to regulate temperature in that room. If they are faulty or not working properly, we can repair or replace it.
The pressure release valve releases excess pressure from the system to prevent damage. If it's not working properly, it can cause safety concerns and will need to be repaired or replaced.
The expansion vessel allows for expansion and contraction of the system's water as it is heated and cooled. If it's damaged or not functioning properly, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
Limescale is a hard, chalky substance that forms on the inside of pipes, boilers, and other water-based appliances. It's made up of minerals, such as calcium and magnesium carbonates, which are naturally present in hard water. When hard water is heated, these minerals can be left behind as a residue, forming limescale, which can build up over time and cause a variety of issues, including reduced efficiency and strange noises. Limescale may need to be removed to restore proper functioning of the system.
