Water Softening Systems

A water softening system works by removing minerals such as calcium and magnesium, which are the main causes of hard water, through a process called ion exchange. The system uses a resin bed filled with tiny beads that have a negative charge, which attracts and binds positively charged minerals. Once the resin beads become saturated with minerals, they are regenerated using a salt solution, which flushes the beads and releases the minerals, allowing the system to continue to effectively remove hard water. Sterling specialized in the installation water softening systems for our customers to improve the quality of their water and protect their plumbing and appliances from the harmful effects of hard water.

RO Filtration

RO water filtration systems, or reverse osmosis systems, work by using a semipermeable membrane to remove impurities and dissolved solids from water. The water is forced through the membrane, which only allows the water molecules to pass through, while trapping the impurities and dissolved solids on one side. The purified water is then collected on the other side of the membrane. The system also includes a pre-filter, to remove larger particles such as sediment, and a post-filter, to further improve the taste and quality of the water. RO water filtration systems are effective at removing a wide range of impurities including bacteria, viruses, lead, arsenic, and fluoride. Sterling installs RO water filtration systems for our customers to provide them with high-quality, purified drinking water.
