Typical repairs we perform.
If something is wrong with your water heater, trust the experts at Sterling to diagnose the issue and fix it.

The anode rod is a critical part of your water heater. Replacing the anode rod in a water heater before it fails can slow down corrosion inside the tank and significantly extend the life of the water heater, sometimes even doubling it.
The gas control valve could be defective, the pilot orifice could be clogged, the thermocoupler could be blocked, or the burner could be clogged.
There are several types of tank repairs that may be needed depending on the location of the leak. If the leak is located at the bottom of the tank, it could be caused by a malfunctioning temperature-pressure relief valve or a loose drain valve. To fix these types of leaks, you may need to replace the valve or adjust the pressure, or tighten the drain valve. Leaks located on or near the expansion tank may require replacement of the expansion tank itself or tightening of pipe fittings with a wrench. Leaks at the top of the tank may be caused by a loose or broken cold water inlet valve, which can be fixed by tightening the valve or replacing it with a new one. If the leak is in the tank itself, it could be due to corrosion or other issues, such as high water pressure or sediment buildup. In these cases, it is often best to replace the entire tank to avoid further leaks or bursting.
Often, components of your water heater aren't broken, they simply haven't been maintained. Regular maintenance is the best way to ensure repairs, particularly ones that affect comfort and safety, are anticipated and dealt with immediately.
